Kathmandu, November 4 (Language) At least 128 people have died due to the strong earthquake that occurred in Nepal’s Jajarkot district on Friday midnight.
According to state-run Nepal Television, 80 people were killed and more than 140 injured in Jajarkot and Rukum districts of western Nepal. At least 128 people have died in the country due to the earthquake.
The epicenter of the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit the country was Lamidanda in Jajarkot district.
The impact of the earthquake, which occurred at 11.47 pm on Friday night, was felt in Kathmandu, its surrounding districts and even in New Delhi, the capital of neighboring country India.
Officials said that Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ left for the incident site with a medical team on Saturday morning. He said that Nepal Army and Nepal Police have been deployed in rescue operations.
