Visakhapatnam, November 20 (Language) At least 15 fishing boats were gutted in a fire in a ghat area in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam in the early hours of Monday. The officers provided this information.
Officials said that the cause of the fire has not been known yet. He said that the fire, which broke out around 1 o’clock in the night, was brought under control by 4 in the morning.
Visakhapatnam District Fire Officer S. Renukayya told PTI that the fire broke out in the ghat area of the city where there were fishing boats. He said that after receiving information about the fire, firefighters reached the spot.
“We sent 12 fire fighting vehicles to the spot and also took help from the National Disaster Response Force and Visakhapatnam Port Trust,” he said.
The officer said there was no news of any casualty in the incident.
