Aizawl, November 2 (Language) A total of 7,671 people have voted from home and through postal ballot for the Mizoram Assembly elections. An officer gave this information.
Of these, 1,998 people voted from home, while 5,673 voted through postal ballots, Additional Chief Electoral Officer H Liyanjella said in a statement.
Voting for the 40-member Mizoram Assembly will be held on November 7 and counting of votes will be done on December 3.
The facility of voting from home is provided to people aged 80 years and above and persons with disabilities (PWD), while the facility of voting through postal ballot is for polling personnel, other officials and people associated with essential services.
