25 grams of ganja seized from Thane hospital, case registered against female administrator and three others


Thane, November 20 (Language) After seizing 25 grams of ganja from a private hospital in Thane district of Maharashtra, the police registered a case against the woman administrator of the hospital and three others in this connection. An official gave this information on Monday.

An official of Narpoli police station said that on the basis of secret information, a police team had raided the hospital located in Kalher in Bhiwandi area last Thursday. He said that the police found 25 grams of ganja hidden in a bag in a table drawer in the out-patient department (OPD) of the hospital.

An assistant administrator, along with his associates, had allegedly placed the banned material to defame the hospital, the official said quoting the FIR. The assistant administrator was angry with the hospital management.

The hospital initially investigated the matter internally and later lodged a police complaint.

Police said a case was registered against the assistant administrator and his three associates under provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on Sunday following a complaint by the chief executive officer (CEO) of the hospital.
