KHAN YOUNIS (Gaza Strip), November 19 (AP) Gaza’s health ministry said an estimated 30 premature babies had been evacuated from Shifa hospital and would be transferred to Egyptian hospitals.
Ministry spokesman Madhat Abbas said he was released from the hospital on Sunday.
The World Health Organization team, which visited Shifa Hospital on Saturday, said that 32 children were among the seriously ill patients trapped in the hospital. Israeli soldiers have been deployed outside this hospital since last week.
