Accused claiming ownership of historical Durgadi Fort arrested


Thane, November 9 (Language) A person was arrested for allegedly making fake documents to claim ownership of the historic Durgadi Fort in Kalyan in Maharashtra’s Thane district. A police officer gave this information on Thursday.

MFC police station official said that the accused has been identified as Suyash Shirke.

Inspector Pradeep Patil said, “Shirke was caught in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday. He had made fake documents to claim ownership of the fort. We have seized fake stamps and documents from him.”

The officer said Shirke has been sent to police custody for a week.
