Rampur (UP), November 10 (Language) Rampur Public School and SP office, run by the Muhammad Johar Ali Trust of Samajwadi Party (SP) national general secretary and former minister Azam Khan, was taken over by the administration on Friday. Administrative officials gave this information.
This action was taken in the presence of heavy police force, in which Additional District Magistrate (ADM), Administration Lalta Prasad Shakya and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sansar Singh were present. Both the properties have been sealed.
On November 2, the District School Inspector had issued a notice to vacate a building occupied by Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan’s Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar Trust in Rampur.
Earlier, on October 31, the Uttar Pradesh cabinet had approved a proposal to take back the ownership of over 41,000 square feet of land given on lease to the Muhammad Ali Jauhar Trust and ordered it to be transferred to the Secondary Education Department of the state government. Had given.
The old Murtaza School building located near Rampur Fort earlier used to be the office of DIOS and Mohammad Azam Khan, when he was a minister in the Samajwadi Party government, had allotted it in the name of Muhammad Ali Jauhar Trust at the rate of Rs 100 per year.
In this building, a school was being run by Johar Trust in the name of Rampur Public School. Also adjacent to it was the office of Azam Khan in the name of Darul Awam in which his political activities were conducted, the activities of Rampur Samajwadi Party were also conducted from here.
Officials said that the administration took possession of both these buildings and handed them over to DIOS and after sealing them, the keys were handed over to DIOS.
While vacating the SP office, Samajwadi Party’s Rampur Nagar President Asim Raja protested and said that his office is separate from this land, but the administration made it clear that this property also comes under 41,181 square feet, the lease of which will be cancelled. It was given and after mild protest the office was also taken over.
Azam Khan, his wife Tanzin Fatima and son Abdullah Azam are currently in jail after being convicted by a Rampur court in the fake birth certificate case.
