Banda (UP), November 15 (Language) A young man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after beating his pregnant wife under the influence of alcohol in Baberu Kotwali area of Banda district. Police gave this information on Wednesday.
Inspector (SHO) Pankaj Singh, in-charge of Baberu Kotwali, said that on Tuesday night, Deepak Rajput (28), resident of Tindwari Road of Baberu town, reached his home under the influence of alcohol and started fighting with his wife Pooja (26). Deepak beat his wife and threw her out of the house.
He told that after this Deepak committed suicide by hanging himself from the hook of the fan in his room.
SHO said that neighbors informed the police about the incident and Deepak’s body was sent for postmortem on Wednesday morning. The reasons for suicide are being investigated.
