Peshawar, November 6 (Language) A Pakistani Army officer and three soldiers were killed during an encounter with terrorists in Tirah area of Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan Army, said in a statement that Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Hasan Haider and three soldiers were killed during an intelligence-based operation.
The statement said that during the operation, Pakistan Army troops under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Haider effectively surrounded the terrorists.
The statement said that three terrorists were killed in the operation while three others were injured.
According to the statement, a search operation is being conducted in the area so that if any more terrorist is found, he can be eliminated.
Interim Prime Minister Anwar ul-Haq Kakar expressed deep sorrow over the killing of the army officer and three soldiers.
He said that the war against terrorism will continue until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country.
