Arvind Kejriwal may be arrested today, heavy security arrangements on police alert
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal is to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning today in the alleged liquor scam case. However, there is still suspense on whether Kejriwal will go to the ED office today or not. ED has called Kejriwal for questioning in the money laundering case related to liquor scam.
The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi has so far maintained silence on whether Kejriwal will appear before the ED or not. AAP is furious over ED summoning Kejriwal for questioning in the liquor policy scam case. ‘AAP’ leaders are now afraid of Kejriwal’s arrest. Delhi Minister Atishi had on Tuesday accused the BJP of trying to implicate AAP leaders in false cases.
Atishi had said that information is being received from all sides and news is coming that when Arvind Kejriwal will appear before the ED on November 2, the ED will arrest him and put him in jail. Let us tell you that before this, about six months ago in April, CBI had interrogated Kejriwal for about nine hours in this case. CBI asked about 56 questions to Kejriwal. After questioning, Kejriwal had termed the entire matter as baseless, fabricated and an attempt to destroy AAP.
Keeping in view the possible protest by Aam Aadmi Party today due to the appearance of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal before the ED, security has been increased in many areas of New Delhi including ITO, ED office, Kejriwal residence.
