The Election Commission has given instructions for counting of votes. As per instructions, VVIPs will not be allowed entry into the counting centres. Ministers, whether from the state or the Centre, will not be allowed to enter the counting centres. Ministers, MPs, MLAs and Mayors will not be able to become counting agents. Besides, government employees will also not be able to become agents of parties.

Ministers will be able to enter the counting centers only if they themselves are candidates in the assembly elections. They will be able to enter the counting hall only in the assembly constituency from where they are contesting. But in such a situation, the armed guards deployed for their security will not be allowed to enter the counting centre.
