Thane, November 19 (Language) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday termed the current situation of politics as ‘unsound’.

Shinde, who is leading the coalition government of Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) (Ajit Pawar faction), performed the bhoomi pujan of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar Sangeet Vidyalaya in his home turf Thane and inaugurated various projects. .

“The world has witnessed the era of Lata Mangeshkar, in which she enthralled people with her rich songs,” he said.

Praising late Lata Mangeshkar, Shinde said, “There have been different eras and during this ‘Kaliyug’, came Lata-yug. He is the pride of the country. His songs have become a source of inspiration for many people.”

Taking a dig at his political opponents, the Chief Minister said, “Every morning some crows start cawing and keep doing so throughout the day. They spoil the environment. Due to them, noise pollution has increased. At present everything is ‘unsound’ in politics.”
