Kolkata, November 4 (Language) This time the Indian team will play its only league match against South Africa on Sunday at Eden Gardens, which has hosted many historic matches in the past. It will also be the 35th birthday of its star batsman Virat Kohli, which Bengal will try to make memorable. The Cricket Association (CAB) does not want to leave any stone unturned.
The excitement has started at Eden Gardens several days before the match and all the officials are busy finalizing the preparations. On one hand, we have to answer the angry cricket fans due to not getting tickets, on the other hand, we have to explore every possibility to make this match special.
A top CAB official said that a special cake and a bat are being prepared for Kohli as a gift.
He said, “Kohli is a champion cricketer and it is our good fortune that we are hosting such an important match on his birthday. We have prepared a special cake for him which will be sent to the team dressing room.”
Earlier there were reports that Kohli would cut the cake on the field itself during the innings break or before the start of the match. There are reports of Kohli’s masks also being distributed for the match.
He said, “Apart from this, CAB President Snehasish Ganguly will give him a bat.” This will happen either during the innings break or before the start of the match.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah and megastar Amitabh Bachchan have also been invited for this match.
A source said, “Home Minister Amit Shah is fond of cricket and he has been invited for this match, although no reply has been received from him yet. An invitation was also sent to Amitabh Bachchan but he refused to come due to health reasons.” Have done.”
Former Indian captain and Kolkata’s favorite Sourav Ganguly, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will be present during the match. Former South African batsman AB de Villiers will come to the field carrying the ICC trophy.
