Bhopal, November 13 (Language) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday cited a purported video of a Union minister’s son and other allegations related to the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led government to claim that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has committed corruption. All records have been broken.

In this video, the son of a Union Minister can be heard talking about financial transactions allegedly worth crores of rupees.

Assembly elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh on 17 November. On Monday in Narela, state capital Bhopal, Gandhi questioned why ED (Enforcement Directorate), CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) and IT (Income Tax Department) have not started investigation in these cases.

Gandhi alleged, “BJP has broken all records of corruption. One of their ministers (Narendra Singh) is Tomar and this video is of his son. He is saying that Rs 10 crore will go here, Rs 20 crore will go there, Rs 100 crore will be deposited in the bank account. Whose money is he talking about? This is public money.

“All their ministers and chief ministers are involved in corruption,” he claimed.

“Mahakal Lok Galiyara, mid-day meal, Vyapam, which is the biggest scam which harmed more than one crore youth and took 40 lives, Patwari scam, sale of MBBS seats, but (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi did not conduct any inquiry into the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. No Income Tax, no CBI and no ED investigate them.

Criticizing the Prime Minister, Gandhi asked whether people have received Rs 15 lakh in their accounts, whether black money has been eradicated after demonetisation and whether Covid-19 has been curbed after citizens banging thalis and lighting torches of mobile phones. It was felt.

Attacking the BJP governments in the state and the Centre, Gandhi said, “We have also seen the days when people were suffering due to lack of medicines, oxygen and injections. Lakhs of people died in Madhya Pradesh during the (COVID-19) pandemic. This is their politics.

Gandhi said that if Congress comes to power, 100 units of electricity will be available free and 200 units at half rate, LPG cylinder will be available for Rs 500, Rs 2.5 lakh will be deposited in the account of a girl from her birth till her marriage, agricultural loans will be waived off and wheat MSP will be Rs 2,600 for paddy and Rs 2,500 for paddy.

Gandhi also took part in a road show from Emami Gate to Kali Mandir intersection in the old Bhopal area. Earlier in the day, at a rally in Neemuch, he said Madhya Pradesh is the “corruption capital” of the country.

He also promised to conduct caste census if Congress comes to power at the Center and states and expressed confidence that his party will win the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. In Harda, Gandhi talked about the purported video of Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and said the conversation was about “stealing the money of farmers, poor and laborers without hiding, without fear and openly over video call”.

The Union Minister’s son has claimed that the video is fake and has also filed an FIR against unknown people in this regard.

Gandhi also said that after starting the work of waiving off the loans of 27 lakh farmers, the BJP had toppled the Kamal Nath-led government in March 2020 with the help of “big industrialists”.
