Mumbai, November 10 (Language) The Bombay High Court on Friday refused to quash the FIR registered against television actor Sheezaan Khan for abetting the suicide of his co-actress Tunisha Sharma in December 2022.
The High Court said that the investigation into this case prima facie reveals his involvement.
A bench of Justices Ajay Gadkari and Sharmila Deshmukh said in its order that the allegations against Sheezaan Khan prima facie show that breaking up with Tunisha Sharma, having an affair with another woman and constant fights had taken a toll on the actress. Was influenced.
Tunisha Sharma (21) and Sheezaan Khan were shooting for a television show at a studio near Vasai on the outskirts of Mumbai on December 24, 2022.
The love affair between Sharma and Khan lasted for two months, but due to some reason this relationship broke between them.
On the day of the incident, Sharma and Khan allegedly had a fight in her ‘makeup room’, following which Tunisha hanged herself.
“Prima facie, it appears that the self-respect of the victim (Tunisha Sharma) was tarnished by the insult inflicted on her by the applicant (Sheejan Khan),” the Bombay High Court said.
The bench refused to accept Sheezan Khan’s argument that being in a love relationship and breaking up is a normal aspect of modern society.
“The applicant deliberately harassed the victim mentally and humiliated her by frequently quarreling with her,” the court said.
