Addressing a press conference here, Khera attacked the BRS government and accused it of not fulfilling the election promises made to the youth, farmers and women. He also alleged that the BRS government was not fulfilling its promises, including providing ‘2 BHK’ houses.
Accusing the Rao-led government of being involved in the land, sand and liquor scam, Congress media and publicity chief Kheda said BRS won two elections and got 10 years to rule Telangana, ‘but unfortunately ‘They not only wasted this opportunity but also betrayed every section of the society, especially the youth of Telangana.’
Kheda said the biggest ‘betrayal’ in Telangana under the BRS regime has happened to the youth and students. He claimed that among the five states in the country where elections are going to be held (in November), Telangana has the highest unemployment rate at 15 percent and 40 lakh youth are unemployed because the BRS government failed to fulfill the promise of providing jobs. The Congress leader claimed that Rs 222 crore was collected as examination fees, but the recruitment examination was not conducted.
Kheda said, “The people of Telangana are eagerly waiting for November 30 when they will decisively oust (from power) those who betrayed them. They (BRS) do not have the right to ask for votes. He got power for 10 years in which he did not live up to the aspirations of the state. He should apologize and go to the farm house and introspect.”
Khera said the fight in the November 30 assembly elections in Telangana is between Congress and BRS and expressed confidence that his party is definitely winning the elections as there is a wave in favor of Congress in the state.
