Thane, November 18 (Language) Police have registered a case against 31 persons, including 11 female waiters and a singer, for indulging in obscene acts at a restaurant cum bar in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. An official gave this information on Saturday.
The officer said that this action was taken against these persons after a raid in the bar on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
“During the operation, the female singer was found misbehaving with customers and making obscene gestures,” said senior inspector Ravindra Daundkar of Turbhe police station.
He said that apart from 11 women, three male waiters, 16 customers, a case has also been registered against the owner and manager.
Police said a case has been registered against the accused under sections 294 (obscene acts and songs) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
