Shivpuri/Sheopur/Gwalior, November 4 (Language) Union Home Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah on Saturday accused Congress of 4-C i.e. ‘Corruption’, ‘Commission’, ‘Communalism’. Accusing him of pursuing ) and ‘criminalization’, he said that the party also insulted the eminent jurist and social reformer Babasaheb Ambedkar.
Shah said Congress is an ‘anti-development’ party which will stop welfare schemes if it comes to power in Madhya Pradesh. Shah said that Congress had insulted eminent jurist and social reformer Babasaheb Ambedkar and never awarded him Bharat Ratna.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, Shah said it was a befitting reply to leaders like Rahul Gandhi who used to make fun of the Bharatiya Janata Party by saying “the temple will be built there but will not tell the date”. ‘
Shah addressed two rallies in Shivpuri and one each in Sheopur and Gwalior during the day in the state, where elections will be held on November 17. Shah said, “Congress follows 4-C, i.e. ‘Corruption’, ‘Commission’, ‘Communalism’ and ‘Criminalization’. Congress insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar but roams around with his photograph.
“Congress did not give him Bharat Ratna and always conspired to ensure that he never reaches Parliament,” he claimed.
He also claimed, “We gave Bharat Ratna to Babasaheb Ambedkar when our government came to power (in 1990 when the non-Congress National Front government including BJP was formed under the leadership of VP Singh).”
Shah said Madhya Pradesh will celebrate ‘three Diwalis’, one when the BJP wins the assembly elections and the other when the idol is consecrated at the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22. He said that this will be the fulfillment of 500 years old aspirations of crores of people.
He said, ‘Congress obstructed the construction of Ram temple. I have come here to invite you to organize the consecration of the idol in Ayodhya on 22nd January. When I was the party president, Rahul Gandhi used to taunt us that ‘we will build the temple there but will not tell the date’.
“Now we are announcing the date of January 22 at 12.30 am,” Shah said. Along with the Ram temple, Mahakal Lok (in Ujjain) and Kashi Vishwanath corridor have been constructed. Somnath temple is being plated with gold and Badrinath and Kedarnath temples are being renovated.
Taking aim at the Congress, he alleged that the Congress has always supported anti-national forces and described people like Zakir Naik (Islamic preacher accused of supporting radicalism and terrorism) as messengers of peace, as well as Hindu spiritual leaders. The image is tarnished.
Shah said Congress supported anti-national groups like Popular Front of India, which was banned by Prime Minister Modi. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah said that to avenge the Uri attack, a surgical strike was carried out on terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in September 2016. 19 soldiers were martyred in the Uri attack.
Shah said the Dr Manmohan Singh-led Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government remained silent during such attacks, but the Modi government carried out air and surgical strikes to counter terrorism.
Taking aim at Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath, Shah said that Kamal Nath will not become the Chief Minister after the assembly elections. Shah claimed, ‘And if he (Kamal Nath) becomes the chief minister, the BJP government’s Ladli Behna scheme (in which women get assistance of Rs 1,250 per month) and welfare schemes meant for farmers will be stopped.’
He said that in 2002 (after almost a decade of Congress rule) the state budget was Rs 23,000 crore, while now it is Rs 3.18 lakh crore.
The BJP has been in power in Madhya Pradesh since 2003, except for the period between December 2018 and March 2020, when Kamal Nath was the chief minister of the Congress-led coalition. Shah said, “Congress government is anti-development government. When they (Congress government in Madhya Pradesh) ruled for 15 months, they stopped many welfare schemes.
Shah said, “They stopped the scheme made for Sahariya tribe. He also stopped the Sickle Cell Anemia Mission made for tribals but BJP revived all the schemes.
Shah told the people, ‘Madhya Pradesh does not need a corrupt Congress government but a BJP government that works for the welfare of the poor, Dalits, OBCs, youth, SC, ST and women. Madhya Pradesh needs a ‘double engine’ government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shah said previous Congress governments had made Madhya Pradesh a ‘sick’ state, while the BJP brought development by working for farmers, Dalits, tribals, OBCs, women and youth. The results of Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections will be declared on December 3.
