Islamabad, November 21 (Language) The Islamabad High Court in Pakistan on Wednesday declared invalid the government’s official notification to hold the hearing in jail in the case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan related to the alleged leaking of confidential documents.
A two-member bench issued its decision on the appeal of the former Prime Minister. Imran Khan had challenged the decision of the single bench in this case. A single bench of the high court had earlier rejected the appeal of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party chairman Imran Khan, 71, against the trial in Rawalpindi-based Adiala jail.
Imran Khan is lodged in Adiala jail since 26 September. He has been transferred there from Attock District Jail.
Earlier, a bench of Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz heard the appeal against the single bench order and reserved the verdict.
