Mumbai, November 10 (Language) Domestic markets fell in early trade on Friday amid weak trend in global markets and continuous withdrawal of foreign funds.
BSE’s 30-share Sensex fell 251.25 points to 64,580.95. Nifty slipped 65.85 points to 19,329.45.
Among the Sensex companies, shares of Titan, Mahindra & Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Maruti, Tata Motors and Nestle were among the losers. Whereas shares of Bajaj Finance, Power Grid, Tech Mahindra and NTPC were in profit.
In other Asian markets, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng were among the losers.
US markets closed with a negative trend on Thursday.
Global oil benchmark Brent crude was trading 0.34 percent higher at $80.28 per barrel.
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 1,712.33 crore on Thursday.
