Doctor dies after getting stuck between train and platform in Agra

Agra, November 5 (Language) A surgeon from Agra died after getting stuck between the train and the platform. Government Railway Police (GRP) has given this information.

According to GRP, laparoscopic surgeon Dr. Lakhan Singh Galav, living on Galana Road, Agra, doing MBBS from KGMU, Lucknow, had gone to Raja Ki Mandi station to board his daughter in Mahakaushal Express on Sunday morning.

A GRP officer said that Mahakaushal Express reached Raja Ki Mandi station at seven in the morning, after which he made the daughter sit in the AC coach.

According to the officer, during this time the train started moving and he came to the gate, while getting down from the train, his leg got stuck between the train and the platform and the train started moving.

The official said that the local people raised an alarm, but by then the train had moved and he died on the spot after being hit by it.

In this regard, GRP Agra Cantt in-charge Samar Bahadur Singh said that after the post-mortem, the body of the doctor has been handed over to the family members.
