Kaimur/Patna, November 13 (Language) Five children died due to drowning in a pond in a village of Rampur block in Kaimur district of Bihar on Monday. Police gave this information.
According to information received from Kaimur District Police, five children died due to drowning while bathing in Fakirana pond located in Dhavpokhar village under Karamchat police station.
Expressing deep condolences on this accident, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he is with the families of the victims in this hour of grief.
The Chief Minister has given instructions to give ex-gratia amount of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of the deceased without any delay.
Police are taking action as per law after taking possession of the dead bodies.
