Islamabad, November 19 (Language) Former Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday expressed confidence that his Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will win the next general elections.
He expressed hope that the elections would be held in a fair and free manner.
Zardari’s statement comes at a time when various political parties are preparing for the general elections to be held on February 8 next year.
PPP shared Zardari’s statement on social media platform ‘X’, in which he said that the country is moving towards transparent elections and his party is fully prepared for the elections.
“I have full confidence in the ECP (Election Commission of Pakistan) that it will conduct the elections in a transparent manner,” Zardari said.
He said that PPP will remain on top.
Zardari said, “PPP is the only party which is capable of contesting elections in every kind of environment.”
He stressed that the environment in the country is conducive for elections and they should be held on time.
