Noida, November 2 (Language) Gautam Buddha Nagar Traffic Police launched a special campaign on Thursday in view of increasing air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR). Under this, the police has taken action against diesel and petrol vehicles which have completed their expiry date. This information was provided by the police
Appropriate Police (DCP) Traffic Anil Kumar Yadav said that in view of the increasing air pollution, the traffic police launched a special campaign today. He said that under the campaign, 57 vehicles were seized while taking action against 10 year old diesel vehicles. He said that while taking action against 15 year old petrol vehicles, 154 vehicles were seized.
He said that challan was issued against 2640 vehicles running without pollution certificate, while challan was issued against 2880 vehicles whose fitness certificate had expired. He said that this campaign of the traffic police will continue in future also.
