He said that on the complaint of the deceased’s wife Meera Devi, a case has been registered against the accused Santosh Sharma under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code and the police has taken the accused into custody.

He said that a case has been registered on the complaint of Meera Devi, wife of Chhotalal Gupta, resident of Rampur Kala. Meera told the police that her husband used to sell chana-bhuja near the government liquor shop located in Bansdih town.

Meera told the police that Santosh Sharma had gone to the liquor shop to buy liquor and during this time he had a dispute with Chhote Lal. It has been alleged in the complaint that during a dispute, Santosh Sharma hit her husband Chhotalal with a brick, due to which he was seriously injured.

The family members were taking Chhote Lal to the Community Health Center of Bansdih for treatment, but he died on the way.
