Goddess Lakshmi: Today the festival of Diwali will be celebrated with enthusiasm across the country. On this day, special worship of Mahalakshmiji, the goddess of wealth, happiness, fame and glory, will be done in every house and establishment at an auspicious time. On the festival of Diwali, devotees from far and wide will reach the ancient and historical Shri Mahalakshmi temple built in the 11th century, located in village Oon, about 17 kilometers away from Khargone district headquarters Khargone, to have darshan of Mataji and also to light lamps. Today, on the day of Diwali, the darshan of Goddess Mahalakshmiji is considered to have special significance. That is why, like every year, this year too there will be a rush of devotees to have darshan of Mataji in the temple of ancient Goddess Mahalakshmiji located in village Oon.
Mother Goddess is seen in different forms
It is believed that the wish of every devotee who prays to Goddess Mahalakshmiji with a true heart, situated in wool, is fulfilled. A special feature of Devi Mahalakshmi temple is that Goddess Mahalakshmi appears in different forms to her devotees during three periods of the day. She fulfills the wishes of every devotee by appearing in childhood in the morning, youth in the afternoon and old age in the evening. Only two months ago, Mataji had left her robe after almost a hundred years. After which six hands of Mataji were seen. Mother Mahalakshmi’s left three hands are holding Chakra, boon and Kalash while in her right hand she is seen in the posture of curb, lotus and showering wealth. Goddess Lakshmi: Attractive electrical decorations have also been done in Mahalaxmi temple on the occasion of Diwali. There is special significance of having darshan of Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth and grains, on the day of Diwali. This temple of Goddess Mahalakshmi located in village Oon was built in Dwapar era. Mataji appears to her devotees in three forms during the day. Today, on the day of Diwali, the wishes of every devotee who reaches here by having darshan of Goddess Mahalakshmi is fulfilled.
