New Delhi, November 15 (Language) India’s exports increased by 6.21 percent to US $ 33.57 billion in October this year.

According to government data released on Wednesday, it was US $ 31.6 billion in October 2022.

Imports also increased to US $ 65.03 billion in the month under review, whereas in October 2022 it was US $ 57.91 billion.

The country’s trade deficit stood at $31.46 billion in October.

Exports declined by seven percent to US $ 244.89 billion in the April-October period of the current financial year 2023-24. In these seven months, imports declined by 8.95 percent to US $ 391.96 billion.

Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said trade numbers in October show signs of growth.
