Milan, November 21 (AP) Italy, which failed to qualify for the last two World Cups, heaved a sigh of relief by securing its place in next year’s European Football Championship.
Apart from Italy, Slovenia and Czech Republic also qualified for Euro 2024. Czech Republic coach Jaroslav Silhavy resigned immediately after the final whistle against Moldova. Silhaavi, who has been in this position for the last five years, said that he had taken this decision even before the match.
Italy needed only one point to finish second in Group C and avoid the playoffs. They earned this important point by playing a goalless draw against Ukraine and qualified for Euro 2024 to be held in Germany.

Ukraine needed a win over Italy to finish second in the group. Now he will have to play in the playoffs. England had already qualified from this group. They continued their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw with North Macedonia.
Slovenia and Czech Republic also needed a point to book a place at Euro 2024. Slovenia beat Kazakhstan 2-1 while the Czech Republic beat Moldova 3-0.
