Washington, November 8 (AP) US President Joe Biden will host Indonesian President Joko Widodo for a meeting at the White House on November 13.
The White House said Tuesday the two leaders would discuss continuing to pursue clean energy practices, advancing economic prosperity and promoting peace and stability in the region, among other issues.
White House Press Secretary Karen Jean-Pierre said, “During this meeting, Biden will reaffirm America’s commitment to deepening our nearly 75-year-long partnership between the world’s second and third largest democracies.”
The meeting with Widodo at the White House comes just ahead of Biden’s visit to San Francisco at the weekend for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco.
Biden and Widodo also held talks at the G20 summit in New Delhi in September.
Biden visited Indonesia last November, when the country hosted that year’s G20 summit.
