Kota (Rajasthan) November 14 (Language) Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has accused Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota MP Om Birla of secretly campaigning for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and urged him to remain impartial.
Referring to his government’s social security and public welfare guarantees, Gehlot also urged people to vote for Congress to continue development.
Gehlot was addressing a public meeting on Tuesday in favor of party candidate from Kota North and Urban Development Minister Shanti Dhariwal.
Addressing a public meeting in Thermal Circle, Gehlot alleged, ‘MPs here are now secretly campaigning for their party and roaming in parks and gardens and talking (with candidates) and They are calling people to their residence and provoking people.
Gehlot asked “He holds a high (constitutional) post and is the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, why should he join politics?”
Referring to Birla’s visits to public parks, Gehlot said, ‘When parliamentary elections are held, he should explain his role and tell people that he is a BJP person, but at present he is the Lok Sabha Speaker and he should be impartial. Needed.’
Gehlot accused Birla of delaying the construction of the airport in Kota, claiming that the state government had given land for the purpose.
Earlier in the day, Gehlot launched the ‘Guarantee Yatra’ at Ghatotkach Circle along with state Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and party candidates from the district.
Gehlot did a road show while sitting in a bus.
Gehlot urged people to let him continue working (i.e. vote him back to power) because with a change of government ‘all schemes stop’.
Gehlot said that if he returns to power, his government will pass an Act for the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) so that there is no hindrance in it and this is his seventh and last guarantee.
