Lucknow, November 4 (Language) The Anti-Corruption Organization (ACO) of Uttar Pradesh Police on Saturday arrested an outpost in-charge posted in Banthra police station area of ​​Lucknow Police Commissionerate (Commissionerate) here for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000. A senior officer gave this information.

When asked late Saturday evening, ACP Vinay Kumar Dwivedi of Krishnanagar, Lucknow, told PTI that Police Sub Inspector Rahul Tripathi, posted at a post of Banthra police station, has been arrested by the anti-corruption team for taking bribe. He quoted the ‘ACO’ as saying that the accused has been arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.

According to police sources, on Saturday evening, Sub-Inspector Tripathi posted at Banthara police station had called a person related to a case in the name of “hushing up” the case. Sources said that the ACO team caught Tripathi red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the said person. The ACO team is interrogating the accused.

Police said that a few days ago, Vinod Kumar, resident of MF Tower, Mohan Road, Buddheshwar, had complained to the ACO against the SI, after which the ACO team arrested the accused.
