Lukaku made a new record, Serbia qualified for Euro 2024

Madrid, Nov 20 (AP) Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku scored four goals in the first half to lead his team to a 5-0 win over Azerbaijan in their final match of the European Championship qualifying football competition.

Lukaku scored a total of 14 goals in the qualifiers, which is four more than Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo and five more than France’s Kylian Mbappe.

In this way, Lukaku created a new record for scoring most goals in the European Qualifying Championship. He broke the record of 13 goals held by Poland’s Robert Lewandowski (in Euro 2016 qualifying) and Northern Ireland’s David Healy (in Euro 2008 qualifying).

Belgium has already qualified for the European Championships from Group F along with Austria.

Meanwhile, Serbia qualified for Euro 2024 to be held in Germany by playing a 2-2 draw against Bulgaria.

In another match, Spain defeated Georgia 3–1, but during this match its star midfielder Gavi got injured.
