Mau (UP), November 8 (Language) A Mau court on Wednesday granted bail to Omar Ansari, son of gangster-leader Mukhtar Ansari, in three cases of violation of the model code of conduct in 2022.
Ansari’s lawyer Daroga Singh said, “We have already got anticipatory bail from the High Court in these cases about two months ago.” We presented the bail order of the High Court before the MP-MLA court from where the bail was granted.
Omar Ansari was granted bail in these cases after he deposited a total bond of Rs 90,000.
“Three cases of code of conduct violation were registered against Omar Ansari for giving hate speeches, blocking roads and holding a political rally without prior permission,” Singh said.
According to the local police, Umar Ansari was absconding in these cases and the local court had also issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
Mukhtar Ansari is currently detained in Banda District Jail.
