Maharashtra CM meets Bhutan King in Mumbai

Mumbai, November 7 (Language) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde along with senior officials of the state met Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk here on Tuesday.

Shinde conveyed to the visiting Bhutan King that Maharashtra would extend all possible cooperation to strengthen its relations with the Himalayan nation, an official statement said.

The Chief Minister said during the meeting that every year Bhutanese tourists come to visit the world famous Ajanta-Ellora caves near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar town in Central Maharashtra and the neighboring country is also a popular destination for tourists from the state. .

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also met 43-year-old Naresh Wangchuk separately at Raj Bhavan in South Mumbai. Wangchuk is on an eight-day visit to India from November 3.
