Maharashtra politics will center around Sharad Pawar and Uddhav: Sanjay Raut.

Mumbai, November 15 (Language) Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut said on Wednesday that former Chief Minister Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray are prominent leaders of Maharashtra and the politics of the state will revolve around them.

Raut said the Sharad Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will defeat the rebel group led by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Raut told reporters, “It doesn’t matter that Sharad Pawar and (his nephew) Ajit Pawar are seen together (after the split in the party in July). In 2024, Sharad Pawar faction will defeat Ajit Pawar. The politics of the state will revolve only around Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray.”

He claimed that the Congress would win in all five states where assembly elections are being held in November (of which Mizoram has already voted). He said this will prepare the environment for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling former Congress president Rahul Gandhi a ‘lord of fools’ at an election rally in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, Raut said it reflected the BJP’s fear of the Lok Sabha member from Kerala. .

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said, “Those who call Rahul Gandhi the ‘lord of fools’ have realized which way the political wind is blowing. If Rahul Gandhi is the ‘lord of fools’, why do you talk about him? If you are criticizing him day and night, it shows BJP’s fear of Rahul.

Raut said Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray will embark on a statewide tour after Diwali.
