Man accused of murder of a youth in Maharashtra arrested from Uttar Pradesh


Thane, November 12 (Language) Police have arrested a 40-year-old man from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh for killing a 19-year-old youth following a personal dispute in Maharashtra’s Thane district. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

Sachin Chaudhary, senior police inspector of crime unit-2, said that on November 8, the body of an unidentified person was found in Narpoli police station area in Bhiwandi area of ​​Thane, after which the police registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). A case was registered under this and the investigation of the case was started.

According to Choudhary, the victim was identified on the basis of technical and intelligence information along with analysis of CCTV footage.

He said that during investigation it was revealed that the accused was angry that the victim had helped his third wife leave him, hence he murdered her.

According to Chaudhary, the police learned that the accused also wanted to kill his wife, who was living in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, after leaving him and hence had taken a train to Uttar Pradesh.

He said that the accused had stopped using his mobile phone, which made it difficult for the police to trace him.

According to Chaudhary, on the basis of technical information and bank details of the accused, the police came to know that the accused is a resident of a village in Baksa police station area of ​​Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

He said that a police team from Bhiwandi, with the help of Uttar Pradesh Police, caught the accused from his village on Friday and brought him to Thane on Saturday.

According to Chaudhary, the accused is a habitual offender and around 25 criminal cases have been registered against him by Narpoli, Bhiwandi taluka, Ulhasnagar, Navi Mumbai and Thane police on charges of theft, attempt to robbery and assault.
