Mumbai, November 20 (Language) Maharashtra government on Monday transferred Jalna Superintendent of Police (SP) Tushar Doshi to Pune-based Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
Doshi was on compulsory leave following the lathicharge on Maratha reservation agitators on September 1.
He is among several officers transferred by the state home department on Monday.
Following the incident of lathicharge on agitators demanding Maratha reservation in Antarwali Sarati area of Jalna, there were sporadic incidents of violence in some parts of the state.
According to the state home department order, Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Anuj Tare has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police of Washim while Shrikant Dhivere has been made the Superintendent of Police of Dhule.
According to the order, IPS officer Vishal Singudi has been made the new Superintendent of Police, Amravati (Rural), while Mokshada Patil has been transferred from the post of Superintendent of Police, Railway Police, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad) and made the Commandant of the State Reserve Police Force, Mumbai.
