Modi government is against railway employees and gives step-motherly treatment to central employees – Shailesh Pandey
Bilaspur- MLA Shailesh Pandey has said that the Modi government at the Center is against the railway employees and treats the railway employees and central employees step-by-step and never takes decisions in their interest. And this is the reason why Bilaspur city could not get the status of B grade city till date. We completed the process of B Grade City and sent it to the Central Government, but here BJP MLAs had lodged objection to this proposal and till date the Central Government has not given the status of B Grade City to Bilaspur city. The Central Government, BJP MLAs and public representatives are responsible for this. We had completed this proposal and sent it to Delhi through the state government.
Today Shailesh Pandey started election campaign from the railway station in the railway area. Railway officials met the employees at DRM office, GM office, railway station and control room and appealed to form the Congress government and make them win as Congress candidates. MLA Shailesh Pandey has said that immediately after the formation of the Congress government in the state, 3 years ago, after completing the delimitation process in 2019, we had sent a proposal to the Central Government through the state government to make Bilaspur city a B grade city.
During the assembly elections, the people of the city had demanded to make a B grade city and in Bilaspur, a large number of state and central government employees, one lakh employees are working here in the city. Making efforts in this direction, the Chhattisgarh government had expanded the delimitation of the area of Bilaspur and included 15 rural bodies and three urban bodies in the Bilaspur Municipal Corporation area and after the delimitation, the elections of the Municipal Corporation of Bilaspur were held. Based on the parameters of Bilaspur’s number and area, the district administration and the state government sent the proposal to make Bilaspur a B grade city, fulfilling all the parameters, to the central government. But as soon as the process of making B grade city started.
BJP MLAs Dharamlal Kaushik, Rajneesh Singh, Krishnamurthy Bandhi and Kishore Rai Katha BJP MLAs from Bilaspur district had opposed the delimitation and B grade city. We delimited the wards of Bilaspur city and after fulfilling all the criteria of the proposal to make Bilaspur a B grade city, we also sent the proposal to the Central Government. Also wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But BJP has not taken any initiative till date. MLA Shailesh Pandey has said that being a Congress MLA, it was his responsibility to give B grade city status to Bilaspur but the BJP and the central government stopped it due to which there is anger among the employees and officers.
Even after writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP did not announce B grade city. MLA Shailesh Pandey has said that we could have given B grade city status to Bilaspur but BJP stopped it. The process of delimitation started in 2005 but BJP did not get the delimitation done in Bilaspur. In Railways, the families of more than 10,000 railway employees reside in the zone and divisional offices, besides NTPC, ACCL, post office and nationalized banks, more than 1 lakh officers and employees of the Central Government are found on the lines of Metro City due to the Hitler Shahi of BJP. Are deprived of the benefits.
With the formation of B grade city Bilaspur city, along with dearness allowance and house allowance given to the employees, many facilities will be available to the central and state government employees. But BJP is anti-employee and does not want the welfare of the employees, hence the Central Government has not announced B Grade City. Shailesh Pandey has said that the public has understood the tactics of BJP and this time also the public, officers, employees and railway employees of Bilaspur city will vote in favor of Congress.
Today, during the election campaign in the Railway area, Ajay Yadav along with MLA Shailesh Pandey, Sai Bhaskar, Shiva Mishra, Rajesh Jaiswal, Azra Khan, Sunil Singh, Ankita Jaiswal, Anita Louvahatre, Sandhya Suryavanshi, Manisha Jaiswal, Angel Chowksey, Azra Khan and many others. Congress people were present in large numbers. MLA Shailesh Pandey told the railway employees that BJP MLAs have opposed the B grade city. Therefore the employees are not getting its benefits. No officer or employee of the Central or State Government will trust BJP and now only Congress representatives will be elected from Bilaspur Assembly and will go to the Assembly and Lok Sabha.
