Mohammad Hafeez appointed team director of Pakistan.


Karachi, November 16 (Language) Former captain Mohammad Hafeez has been appointed team director of Pakistan cricket team and said that by working together they can achieve good results.

After Pakistan cricket team’s exit from the league stage of the World Cup, Hafeez has now been given the responsibility of revamping the team.

He will also play the role of coach and will be consulted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) when it appoints the team’s support staff for the upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Hafeez said in a PCB statement, “I am honored to take on the role of team director of the Pakistan cricket team and am excited about my work. I express my gratitude to the PCB for trusting me and entrusting me with this challenging responsibility. ,

He said, “I am committed to working closely with the coaching staff and players to contribute to the success of the team.” By working together we can achieve good results.

This is the first time that Pakistan has appointed a team director.

Apart from appointing Hafeez as the team director, the PCB on Wednesday appointed Shan Masood as the new captain of the Test team and Shaheen Shah Afridi as the captain of the T20 team. Earlier, Babar Azam had resigned from the post of captain of all three formats.

Hafeez retired from international cricket in January last year.
