Mumbai Police receives message threatening to cause “disruption” in India-New Zealand World Cup semi-final

Mumbai, November 15 (Language) Mumbai Police has started investigating the matter after receiving a message on social media on Wednesday threatening “possible disruption” in the World Cup semi-final match between India and New Zealand.

An officer gave this information. He said that the threatening post was made on social media platform ‘X’ and the official handle of Mumbai Police was tagged in it. It had pictures of a gun, grenades and bullets.

The police officer said that after receiving the threat, the police is closely monitoring the Wankhede Stadium. The semi-final match of the World Cup is to be held on Wednesday at 2 pm.

He said that Mumbai Police has started investigating the case and the crime branch has also been included in the investigation.
