Mumbai, November 10 (Language) Three people, including two women, were killed and six others were injured when a speeding car rammed into several vehicles on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai. A police officer gave this information on Friday.
He said that the condition of two people injured in the accident is critical.
Zone-9 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Krishnakant Upadhyay said the Toyota Innova car first hit another car about 100 meters before the toll booth, which is located at the Bandra end of the northbound C Link.
He said that the driver of the car tried to flee from the spot and increased the speed of the vehicle.
“As soon as the Innova reached the toll booth, it hit several other cars, injuring nine people,” he said. Later three of them were declared dead.”
Upadhyay said that six injured, including the driver of the car, are being treated and the condition of two of them is critical.
He told that apart from Innova, five more vehicles were involved in this accident on Sea Link.
According to Upadhyay, there were seven people including the driver in the Innova at the time of the accident.
He said that on the basis of preliminary information, a case has been registered against the driver of Innova and further investigation is being done.
