National Coal Index increased 3.83 points to 143.91 in September.


New Delhi, November 7 (Language) The National Coal Index (NCI) increased by 3.83 points to 143.91 points in September 2023. This information was given in an official statement. This index reflects changes in the price of coal.

The coal ministry said in a statement that the increase was due to a temporary increase in coal prices in the global markets.

“The NCI increased marginally by 3.83 points to 143.91 points in September 2023,” the statement said. This has increased for the first time after April 2023.”

The NCI was launched by the Coal Ministry on June 4, 2020, and reflects the change in coal price in a particular month compared to a specified base year.
