Mumbai, November 15 (Language) Jayant Patil, a senior leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and a former minister in the Maharashtra government, has been affected by dengue, due to which doctors have advised him to take rest.
Patil, state president of NCP’s Sharad Pawar-led faction, informed on social media platform ‘X’ on Tuesday that he is suffering from dengue. Patil told that he has fever since Monday and on the advice of doctors, he got tested (for dengue).
The NCP leader said, “Dengue has been confirmed in the investigation report. After taking rest for a few days, I will return to my old routine.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also contracted dengue recently. Ajit had rebelled against the NCP in July this year and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and held the post of Deputy Chief Minister in the Maharashtra government.
