New Delhi, November 19 (Language) Shennis Palacios of Nicaragua has won the crown of ‘Miss Universe’ for the year 2023. This is her country’s first victory in an international beauty pageant.
Palacios won the title by outperforming contestants from 83 other countries including ‘Miss India’ Shweta Sharda. India’s Shweta Sharda managed to make it to the list of top 20 contestants.
The 72nd edition of the ‘Miss Universe’ pageant was held at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador on Saturday night.

“Miss Universe 2023 is Shennis Palacios,” Miss Universe posted on her Instagram page.
Palacios was crowned by R’Bonnie Gabriel of America, who won the title of Miss Universe for the year 2022.
In this event, Miss Thailand Antonia Porsild was the first runner-up and Miss Australia Moraya Wilson was the second runner-up.
American singer-songwriter John Legend performed his popular song “All of Me” at the ceremony.
