New York, November 13 (AP) One million US dollars will be spent on television, radio and digital advertisements in Iowa and New Hampshire during the election campaign of Nikki Haley, who is running for the Republican Party’s nomination in the US presidential election.
On a larger scale, the purpose of this advertisement is to help former US Ambassador to the United Nations Haley get ahead of Governor Ron DeSantis in the crucial phase of the party’s candidacy.
These advertising plans are expected to be announced soon.
Haley’s investment plan is five times larger than DeSantis’ existing advertising fund, according to media tracking company AdImpact.
Haley has taken this step in an attempt to emerge as a clear alternative to former President Donald Trump to represent the Republican Party.
Haley’s campaign manager declined to say whether the ads would directly attack DeSantis or Trump.
“Nikki Haley’s momentum and path to victory are clear,” said Betsy Ankney, her campaign manager.
“The same can’t be said for Ron DeSantis, who, despite doing well in Iowa, can’t buy a cup of coffee at the Red Arrow Diner in New Hampshire and is just a tourist in South Carolina,” he said.
DeSantis’ campaign management reported that only $5 million was available to spend in the late September primaries, but spokesman Andrew Romo said DeSantis had raised millions more dollars in the last month.
