North Korea claims to successfully orbit military spy satellite

Seoul, November 21 (AP) North Korea has claimed that it has successfully placed a military spy satellite in orbit.

North Korea’s space officials said in a statement issued on Wednesday morning that its space launch vehicle successfully placed the satellite named ‘Malligyong-1’ in its designated orbit on Tuesday night.

This claim of North Korea has not been confirmed yet. A statement issued by North Korea said that its leader Kim Jong Un inspected the launch of the satellite.

The statement said this spy satellite will increase North Korea’s combat readiness in response to hostile military moves by its rivals.

It said that North Korea is planning to launch more such spy satellites in the future.
