Owaisi attacks Congress government for ‘banning hijab’ in Karnataka exams

Hyderabad, November 14 (Language) All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed the alleged “ban on hijab” during examinations in Karnataka and the previous Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state. Criticized the Congress government on Tuesday for not taking steps to revoke the imposed restrictions.

“The Congress government in Karnataka has banned hijab in examinations,” the Hyderabad MP said in a post on social media platform ‘X’. It has also not repealed the hijab ban of the previous BJP government.

His statement comes after the Karnataka Examination Authority issued the dress code for the recruitment examinations of various boards and corporations held on November 18 and 19 in the state.

The examination board has said that wearing a cap or any other clothing on the head is prohibited to prevent the use of ‘Bluetooth’ devices in the examination hall.

Attacking Telangana Congress President A Revanth Reddy, Owaisi said, “Telangana Congress chief ‘RSS’ Anna wants to implement ‘Karnataka model’ in Telangana.” That’s why he insults Sherwani…”

AIMIM leaders have been targeting Reddy over his alleged links with the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh).
