New Delhi, November 19 (Language) Congress on Sunday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he found time to go to Ahmedabad to watch the final match of the Cricket World Cup, but he has not yet visited violence-hit Manipur.
Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a post on social media platform ‘X’ that the Prime Minister’s priorities are clear.
Ramesh wrote, “The Prime Minister found time to visit the stadium in Ahmedabad which he has named after himself. He will start abusing and defaming Congress again in Rajasthan and Telangana from tomorrow, but he did not deem it appropriate to visit Manipur, which is still tense and suffering. His priorities are clear.
The Congress has been continuously attacking the Prime Minister and the BJP over the situation in the northeastern state, which has been battling violence since May.
