Devbarson Saruta. Elephant violence continues in the Ramanujganj forest range of Balrampur district. Elephants are damaging crops after reaching the village. Crops are also being damaged.
Elephants trampled the paddy crop grown in one acre of farmer Shukun Yadav in Mandir Tola of Gram Panchayat Kanakpur of Ramanujganj Forest Range. Farmers are disappointed at not receiving any compensation amount from the Forest Department. In the past also, elephants had damaged the crops grown in his fields but no compensation amount was paid by the forest department.
