Robbery in broad daylight near Inspector General of Police office, three policemen including police station in-charge suspended


Bareilly (UP), November 9 (Language) On Thursday, near the Inspector General of Police office in Bareilly district, unknown miscreants looted Rs 8.5 lakh from an employee of a businessman in broad daylight. In this case, three policemen including the concerned police post in-charge have been suspended.

Police sources here said that near the Inspector General of Police office in the city Kotwali area, fearless miscreants looted Rs 8.5 lakh from businessman Kapil Aggarwal’s cashier Sharad Saxena.

Additional Director General of Police P.C. Taking seriously this incident which took place at a tightly secured place, Meena ordered Senior Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan to take strict action against the responsible policemen, after which late night Chowki Chauraha police post in-charge Harkishore Maurya, constable Vijendra Singh and Yogesh Kumar was suspended.

Sources said that investigation orders have also been given against Kotwali Inspector Dinesh Kumar and the constable and other policemen posted in the area.

According to sources, the Additional Director General of Police has sent a letter to the Senior Superintendent of Police saying that it is unfortunate that an incident like robbery takes place in a safe area. There were clear instructions regarding the security arrangements at the festival that incidents like robbery and molestation should not take place under any circumstances, despite this, robbery in broad daylight shows the negligence of the police.

Police area officer Shweta Yadav said that the money looted by the miscreants has been recovered in front of the Inspector General of Police office. Police have arrested two accused in this case.
